Biography
Salvador Godínez (1920–1990) was a Mexican actor. Born in Mexico City on 17 February 1920, he worked in film from the late 1940s, appearing in dozens of Mexican productions, frequently in uncredited or minor roles.
He is credited as the Old Missionary in Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo (1982). Other film appearances include Nazarín (1959), The Brute (1953), Tarzan and the Mermaids (1948), The King of the Neighborhood (1950), Let's Get Harry (1986) and Illusion Travels by Streetcar (1954). He also worked in production management on El tesoro de Atahualpa (1968) and El crepúsculo de un dios (1969).
Godínez died in Mexico City on 19 May 1990.
