Biography
Salvatore Argento was an Italian film producer. He produced Dario Argento's directorial debut The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970), as well as The Cat o' Nine Tails (1971), Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971), Deep Red (1975), Suspiria (1977), Inferno (1980) and Tenebrae (1982). He also produced films by other directors including Sergio Corbucci and Mauro Bolognini.
Argento was the father of directors Dario Argento and Claudio Argento. He died in Rome in 1987.
