Biography
Sam Baker, also credited as Samuel D. Baker, was an American actor. His first screen appearance was as the Sworder (uncredited) in the silent fantasy film The Thief of Bagdad (1924).
He appeared in a number of silent and early sound films, including as Queequeg in The Sea Beast (1926), as the title character in The Missing Link (1927), and as Hugo in the serial The Lost City (1935). Other credits include Les Misérables (1935), in which he played a black convict (uncredited). Baker died in 1982.
