Biography
Sam Savitsky (1881–1963) was a Russian-born actor who worked in Hollywood films and television, frequently in supporting or uncredited roles.
Born on 17 March 1881 in Yekaterinodar (now Krasnodar), Russia, he appeared in numerous productions from the late 1920s onwards. His credits include The Patriot (1928), The Last Command (1928), The Scarlet Empress (1934), Professional Soldier (1935) as Mischa, and later films such as Around the World in 80 Days (1956) and Lonely Are the Brave (1962), often portraying Russian characters or extras.
Savitsky died on 12 February 1963 in Los Angeles, California.
