Biography
Samantha Weinstein (20 March 1995 – 14 May 2023) was a Canadian actress. She began her professional career at the age of six and appeared in films including The Rocker (2008) as Violet, Jesus Henry Christ (2012) as Audrey O'Hara, Carrie (2013) as Heather, and Haunter (2013) as Frances Nichols.
Weinstein had television roles in series such as Being Erica (2009) as Young Erica, Copper (2012) as Kayleigh O'Connor, Darknet (2013) as Heather, Alias Grace (2017) as Effie, and Burden of Truth (2018) as Catherine. She was a prolific voice actor in animated children's series and, as lead singer and guitarist, founded the Toronto garage rock band Killer Virgins in 2016. In 2006 she won the ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female for her role in the short film Big Girl (2005), becoming its youngest recipient at age ten. She was married to Michael Knutson from 2022.
