Biography
Samira Radsi, also credited as Iris Samira Radsi, is a German film and television director. She studied politics and art history at the University of Cologne before training in film directing at the Hamburg Media School. She undertook further studies at the University of California in Los Angeles and worked as a freelance director and producer in Ireland from 2003, returning to Germany in 2005.
Her feature debut was the 2011 film Anduni – Fremde Heimat, which received the DEFA Foundation prize. Radsi directed three episodes of the series Deutschland 83 (2015), which won the Grimme Prize in 2016. She has directed episodes of series including Knightfall (2019), Doom Patrol (2020), Sex/Life (2021) and Holiday Secrets (2019), as well as Tatort films and other German television productions.
