Biography
Samuel Goldwyn Jr. was an American film producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, he was the son of producer Samuel Goldwyn and actress Frances Howard.
After serving in the United States Army during the Second World War, he worked as a theatrical producer in London and for Edward R. Murrow at CBS in New York. He founded the production companies Formosa Productions, The Samuel Goldwyn Company and Samuel Goldwyn Films.
His producing credits include Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) and The Preacher's Wife (1996). Through his companies he produced and distributed independent films including Mystic Pizza (1988).
