Biography
Samuel Roeca was an American screenwriter and television writer. Born on 24 December 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri, he began his career writing for feature films in the late 1940s and 1950s, with credits including Racing Blood (1954), Sea Tiger (1952) and Angel Baby (1961). He also served as associate producer on Raiders of Old California (1957).
Roeca later concentrated on episodic television. He wrote or provided teleplays for seven episodes of the series Mission: Impossible (1966) between 1971 and 1972, credited as Sam Roeca. Other television work included episodes of Hawaii Five-O (1968), The Outer Limits (1963), Rawhide (1959), Ironside and Land of the Lost, as well as the original story for the film The Night Visitor (1971). He died on 17 June 2005 in Placerville, California.
