Biography
Samuel Sim is a British composer of film and television scores. Early in his career he composed the award-winning score for the BBC drama Dunkirk, which led to further work including the Hollywood feature Awake (2007).
He is known for his contributions to House of Saddam (2008), the BBC adaptation Emma (2009), The Spanish Princess (2019), and co-scoring the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019) with Daniel Pemberton. His television credits also include the Maigret films (2016), The Victim (2019) and the upcoming series A Tale of Two Cities (2026).
Sim has received RTS Award nominations for his scores on The Mill and The Deep, and an Ivor Novello Award nomination for The Mill.
