Biography
Sandra Hermida Muñiz is a Spanish film producer and production manager. She was born on 22 July 1972 in Madrid and holds a licentiate in image and sound from the Complutense University of Madrid. She began her career in 1998 as a coordinator on the film La primera noche de mi vida and later worked as head of production on The Other Side (2000).
Hermida has produced or served as production manager on more than thirty feature films. She has collaborated extensively with director J. A. Bayona on The Orphanage (2007), The Impossible (2012), A Monster Calls (2016) and Society of the Snow (2023). Other credits include Biutiful (2010), Automata (2014), The Invisible Guest (2017), Mirage (2018) and The Vault (2021). In 2004 she co-founded the production company Colosé Producciones.
She has received multiple Goya Awards for best production direction, including for The Orphanage, The Impossible and A Monster Calls, and shared the Goya for best film for Society of the Snow (2024). She has also won a Gaudí Award and received a BAFTA nomination for Society of the Snow.
