Biography
Sandy Gallin, also known as Albert Samuel Gallin, was an American producer and talent manager. Born in New York City in 1940, he graduated from Boston University in 1962 and began his career in talent representation, later managing artists including Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, Cher and Mariah Carey.
In 1985, Gallin partnered with Parton to form Sandollar Productions. The company produced the 1992 film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the 1997 television series of the same name (on which Gallin served as executive producer across all seven seasons), the spin-off Angel and films including Father of the Bride (1991), Father of the Bride Part II (1995), Fly Away Home (1996) and Music of the Heart (1999). He also produced the telefilm The Miracle Worker (1979), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award.
Gallin died in Los Angeles in 2017.
