Biography
Sanjay Rao is an American actor and comedian based in Los Angeles. He performs stand-up and improv at venues including The Pack Theater, Second City and UCB, and has appeared at festivals such as Out of Bounds and The Del Close Marathon. His earliest credited television role was as Todd in the 2016 series Crunch Time.
Rao has appeared in guest roles on several series, including as Waiter in The Flight Attendant (2022), Medic #1 in Mo (2022), Frantic Customer in Truth Be Told (2023) and Judge in the 2025 mini-series Diddy on Trial: As It Happened. In film he played Phil in Hit Man (2023) and voiced Mr. Gupta in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw (2025). He has also acted in short films and other television episodes.
