Biography
Sanni McCandless is an American life coach, climber and television personality. She was born on 30 June 1992 in Washington, District of Columbia.
She appeared as herself in the documentary Free Solo (2018), which documented climber Alex Honnold’s preparation for and ascent of El Capitan. McCandless has also been credited as Self in Girl Climber (2025) and other programmes including Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold (2024). She married Honnold in 2020; they have two children.
McCandless co-founded the outdoor events company Outwild in 2018 and works as a certified life coach.
