Biography
Santi P. Choudhury (1929–1982) was an Indian director and writer. He studied at Presidency College, Calcutta, and Glasgow University, and was active in the British film society movement.
He worked with Satyajit Ray from 1955 to 1957 and served as assistant screenplay writer on The Music Room (1958). In 1958 he founded the Little Cinema film unit in Kolkata, which produced over 100 independent short films and documentaries without government support.
His writing credits also include Dakather Hatey Bulu (1963) and Heerer Prajapati (1968). He directed numerous documentaries throughout his career.
