Biography
Sara Barone is a composer for film, television and video games. She studied music at Columbia University and screen scoring at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
Her credits include the BBC series Planet Earth III (2023), for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination and a Hollywood Music in Media Award, and the Netflix limited series The Beast in Me (2025), which earned her a further Emmy nomination. Other scores comprise the feature films Grimcutty (2022), Silver and the Book of Dreams (2023) and Exterritorial (2025), and the video game Alien: Rogue Incursion (2024). She has also contributed additional music to several studio features and series.
Barone has received awards including Best Composition in a Feature Film for To Kill a Wolf (2025) at the Music and Sound Awards.
