Biography
Sarah Greene is an Irish actress and singer. Born on 24 July 1984 in Glanmire, County Cork, she trained at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, graduating in 2006.
She first gained notice for her stage work, earning Laurence Olivier Award and Tony Award nominations for her performance as Helen McCormick in the West End and Broadway productions of The Cripple of Inishmaan (2013–2014). On screen, she is known for roles including Hecate Poole in Penny Dreadful (2014–2016), Lorraine Waldron in Normal People (2020), Cassie Maddox in Dublin Murders (2019), and Bibi Garvey in Bad Sisters (2022–2024).
Greene has received Irish Film and Television Awards for her performances in Penny Dreadful and Normal People, and appeared in films such as The Guard (2011), Burnt (2015) and Black '47 (2018).
