Biography
Sarah Punshon is a theatre and television director. She directed an episode of the Channel 4 series Shameless in 2011 and has directed numerous episodes of Doctors (2007–2015), EastEnders (2007–2009) and Emmerdale (2008).
She trained at Cambridge University and the Royal Scottish Conservatoire, and completed placements on the Regional Theatres Young Directors Scheme at West Yorkshire Playhouse (2003–2005) and the BBC Drama Directors Academy (2006). She was a Clore Leadership Fellow in 2010/11, mentored by Sir Richard Eyre.
Punshon is founder and Artistic Director of One Tenth Human, which creates arts-science projects for young audiences. She was Artistic Director of The Dukes Lancaster from 2017 to 2019 and has directed family theatre productions including adaptations of Peter Pan and The Lion Inside.
