Biography
Sarah Quintrell is a British screenwriter, producer and actor. She began her career as an actor, training at the Manchester School of Theatre and appearing in stage productions including the original London transfer of The Railway Children and roles in Pygmalion and As You Like It. Her television acting credits include Carrie and Barry, Doctor Who, Call the Midwife, Lewis and Rillington Place.
Quintrell moved into writing with the 2016 Channel 4 drama Ellen, for which she received a BAFTA nomination. She went on to write episodes of His Dark Materials (2020) and co-created and wrote on The Power (2023) for Amazon Prime. She wrote nine episodes of the 2026 BBC series The Other Bennet Sister, which she also executive produced.
Her other credits include the Channel 4 series The Trial: A Murder in the Family (2017). She was named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit in 2017.
