Biography
Sarita Joshi (also credited as Saritha Joshi) is an Indian actress. Born on 17 October 1941 in Pune, she began her career in professional theatre in Marathi and Gujarati as a child and has appeared in around 150 stage productions.
She is known for her role as Godavari Thakkar (Baa) in the television series Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (2005–2010). Her film credits include Guru (2007) as Guru's stepmother, Dasvidaniya (2008), Gangoobai (2013), Roohi (2021) as Budhiya and 12th Fail (2023) as Dadi. She has also appeared in Pushpa Impossible (2022–) as Radha Limaye.
Joshi received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Acting in Gujarati in 1988 and the Padma Shri in 2020.
