Biography
Sasha Hails is a British writer for television, film, theatre and radio. She has written multiple episodes of long-running BBC series including Casualty (2007–2014) and Call the Midwife (2025–2026).
She is co-creator and lead writer on the CBBC series Malory Towers (2020–2025), adapted from Enid Blyton’s books, and has contributed episodes to The Midwich Cuckoos (2022), The Last Czars (2019), The Moonstone (2016) and Versailles (2015). Earlier credits include episodes of EastEnders, Holby City, Waterloo Road and Doctors.
Hails received BAFTA nominations for two Casualty episodes. Her stage play Possession was nominated for Best Writer at the Stage Debut Awards. She previously worked as an actress.
