Biography
Sathyaraj is an Indian actor who has appeared predominantly in Tamil films, with roles in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada productions. He made his acting debut in the late 1970s and initially played villainous and supporting characters before taking lead roles.
He is known for his performances in Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) as Karikala Kattappa Nadar, as well as Chennai Express (2013), Mersal (2017), Nanban (2012) and Raja Rani (2013). He has also directed the film Villadhi Villain (1995). His son Sibiraj works as an actor.
