Biography
Satoshi Nikaido (二階堂 智) is a Japanese actor born in Tokyo on 25 March 1966. He graduated from Wako University and trained at the Furano Juku acting school as a member of its sixth intake. He made his film debut in The Last Samurai (2003) and appeared as Kenji Mamiya in Babel (2006).
Nikaido has worked extensively in Japanese cinema and television, with credits including Guilty of Romance (2011), Space Battleship Yamato (2010), Sadako (2019) and the series Drops of God (2023). His sister, Chiju Nikaido, is also an actress. In 2023 he received an acting award at the Tanabe Benkei Film Festival.
