Biography
Scott Lasser is a writer and novelist. He served as a staff writer on the second season of the HBO series True Detective (2014), co-writing the episodes 'Down Will Come' and 'Church in Ruins' (both 2015) with creator Nic Pizzolatto. Lasser is the only writer credited alongside Pizzolatto on that season.
A resident of Colorado, Lasser previously worked as a stockbroker before publishing novels including Battle Creek (1999) and All I Could Get (2002). He holds an MFA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Wharton School, and met Pizzolatto while both were teaching at the Aspen Summer Words literary conference.
