Biography
Scott M. Gimple is an American television writer and producer. He grew up in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, and graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television.
He began his career writing for animated series including Pepper Ann (1997), Timon and Pumbaa (1995) and Fillmore! (2002), which he created. Later credits include Life (2007), FlashForward (2009) and the screenplay for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011).
Gimple joined The Walking Dead (2010) in 2011 as a writer and producer. He served as showrunner from season 4 to season 8 and is chief content officer for the franchise, with writing credits on spin-offs including Fear the Walking Dead (2015), The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020) and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (2024).
