Biography
Scott MacArthur is an American actor and writer. Born on 6 August 1979 in Chicago, Illinois, he trained in performance at the American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University and the Moscow Art Theatre, and studied improv with the Second City Conservatory and Improv Olympic in Chicago.
He is best known for playing Jimmy Shepherd in the Fox series The Mick (2017–2018), a role he also helped write. His film credits include Neil in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019), Big John in Halloween Kills (2021) and Jim in No Hard Feelings (2023). He has appeared in recurring roles in series such as The Righteous Gemstones and Running Point (2025).
MacArthur is the brother of actor Hayes MacArthur and brother-in-law of Ali Larter.
