Biography
Scott McGehee is an American film director and screenwriter. Born on 20 April 1962 in Orange County, California, he is a graduate of Columbia University and completed graduate work at the University of California, Berkeley. He resides in New York City.
McGehee has collaborated since 1993 with filmmaker David Siegel on writing and directing. Their films include Suture (1993), The Deep End (2001), Bee Season (2005), Uncertainty (2008), What Maisie Knew (2012), Montana Story (2021) and The Friend (2024). He wrote the teleplay for an episode of the anthology series Fallen Angels (1995). McGehee served on the US Dramatic Jury at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
