Biography
Scott Murphy is a writer who has worked across film, television and animation. After early work on low-budget independent films in Texas, he earned an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California. He subsequently received a Disney/ABC Writing Fellowship.
Murphy has written for series including The Nightmare Room, Angel (2001–2002) and My Own Worst Enemy (2008). He co-wrote the screenplay for the animated feature Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) with Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching, and served as supervising writer on the subsequent television series (2008–2010). He has also written pilots and developed feature projects for studios and producers including Miramax and Gale Anne Hurd. He lives in Los Angeles.
