Biography
Scott Napier is a Scottish gaffer and lighting technician. He began his career with Lee Lighting and worked as an electrician on series including Rebus and Sea of Souls, and on features such as The Last King of Scotland (2006) and Your Highness (2011). He became a gaffer in 2006 and went freelance in 2010.
Napier has been gaffer on the television series Outlander (2014–) since its first season, collaborating with cinematographer Alasdair Walker. His other credits include Churchill (2017), Penny Dreadful (2015), Doctor Who (2013), Shetland and Filth (2013). He has also served as director of photography on episodes of Outlander: Blood of My Blood (2025).
