Biography
Scott Porter is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Jason Street in the NBC television drama series Friday Night Lights (2006–2011), appearing as a main cast member in the first three seasons and as a guest in the fifth.
Porter began his career in theatre, appearing in the original Off-Broadway cast of the musical Altar Boyz in 2004. He attended Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Florida, and the University of Central Florida, where he sang in an a cappella group. His other notable television roles include George Tucker in Hart of Dixie (2011–2015) and Mayor Paul Randolph in Ginny & Georgia (2021–).
In 2013, Porter married casting director Kelsey Mayfield, whom he met on the set of Friday Night Lights.
