Biography
Scott Powell is a film and television editor. He began his career as an apprentice editor in 1984 and received his first editing credit in 1988.
Powell edited 62 episodes of the series 24 (2001–2010) across nine seasons, for which he received five Primetime Emmy nominations and two American Cinema Editors awards. His other credits include The Orville (2017–2019), Prison Break (2017), When the Bough Breaks (2016) and The Chi (2020–2026).
He is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, the American Cinema Editors and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Powell was born in 1958 in Los Angeles.
