Biography
Scott Thompson is a Canadian actor and comedian. Born on 12 June 1959 in North Bay, Ontario, he grew up in Brampton and attended Brampton Centennial Secondary School. He studied at York University before joining the comedy troupe The Love Cats, where he met Mark McKinney.
In 1984 Thompson became a member of the sketch comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall. Their self-titled series ran from 1988 to 1995 on CBC and HBO (later CBS), with a revival in 2022. He is known for characters including Buddy Cole, Queen Elizabeth II and Danny Husk.
From 1995 to 1998 he played Brian, personal assistant to Hank Kingsley, in 35 episodes of the HBO series The Larry Sanders Show. He has appeared in films including Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy (1996) and voiced characters in series such as The Simpsons.
