Biography

Seamon Glass (26 September 1925 – 12 July 2016) was an American actor. He is best known for playing First Griner in the 1972 film Deliverance. He appeared in numerous film and television roles from the early 1960s to the early 1990s, often in small or uncredited parts.

His credits include an uncredited role as a pirate in Spartacus (1960), Deputy Sheriff Dan Colter in This Is Not a Test (1962), a guard in Sleeper (1973), a cowboy in Blazing Saddles (1974), and a trucker in The Rose (1979). On television he appeared in episodes of Star Trek, Perry Mason, Kojak, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and Vega$.

Glass also worked as a professional boxer, Merchant Marine seaman, and for many years as a teacher and guidance counsellor at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles. He was married to Yan Zhang.
