Biography

Sean Barton is a British film editor. Born on 29 March 1944 in Hampton Court, Surrey, England, he began his career editing commercials before moving into feature films in the late 1970s.

His credits include Quadrophenia (1979), Eye of the Needle (1981), Return of the Jedi (1983), Jagged Edge (1985), The Fly II (1989) and Mutant Chronicles (2008). He frequently collaborated with director Richard Marquand. He has also worked as a second unit director and, in 1991, directed the film Panga (also known as Curse III: Blood Sacrifice).

Barton is the cousin of screenwriter and director Muriel Box.
