Biography
Sean Skene is a Canadian stunt performer, coordinator, director and producer. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he comes from a family involved in film and theatre; his father Rick Skene has worked as a stunt coordinator for more than 25 years. Skene began performing stunts as a teenager and has accumulated over 150 film and television credits in more than 20 years in the industry.
He is known for stunt work on films including Nobody (2021), A Dog's Purpose (2017), Nightmare Alley (2021), Fractured (2019) and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007). Skene has directed episodes of the television series Shoresy (2022–), including nine episodes across seasons 3 and 4, often collaborating with his brother Dan Skene; he also serves as executive producer and consulting producer on the series. Earlier directing credits include the shorts Fisher Cove (2017) and Hideout (2015).
Skene won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Stunt Coordination for work on Shoresy.
