Biography
Selton Mello, also credited as Selton Figueiredo Melo, is a Brazilian actor and filmmaker. Born on 30 December 1972 in Passos, Minas Gerais, he began his career as a child actor in Brazilian television soap operas during the 1980s and later moved into film.
He gained national recognition for his role as Chicó in A Dog's Will (2000) and as Leléu in Lisbela and the Prisoner (2003). Mello has also directed films, including The Clown (2011), in which he starred. In 2024 he portrayed Rubens Paiva in Walter Salles’s I'm Still Here. His brother, Danton Mello, is also an actor.
