Biography
Sergio Bini Bustric, also credited as Sergio Bustric, is an Italian actor born in Florence in 1953. He trained at the DAMS programme of the University of Bologna and studied mime with Étienne Decroux, as well as at circus and acting schools including those of Annie Fratellini and Pierre Étaix in Paris, Roy Bosier in Rome, and Jon Strasberg at the Actors Studio.
Bustric is best known for his role as Ferruccio in Roberto Benigni's Life Is Beautiful (1997), for which he received a David di Donatello nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He has appeared in other films including To Rome with Love (2012) as Mr Massucci, Il cosmo sul comò (2008) and Cose dell'altro mondo (2011). He maintains a parallel career in theatre, founding and directing his own company and performing in Europe and South America.
