Biography

Sergio Di Zio is a Canadian actor born in Toronto on 20 September 1972. He made his screen debut in the 1995 film Senior Trip and has worked extensively in Canadian television and film.

He is best known for playing Michelangelo "Spike" Scarlatti in the CTV series Flashpoint (2008–2012), for which he received a Gemini Award, and for roles including Patrick Finnegan in Rogue (2015–2017) and Beth's Father in the Netflix miniseries The Queen's Gambit (2020). His film credits include The Boondock Saints (1999), Cinderella Man (2005), The Lookout (2007) and Miss Sloane (2016).

Di Zio has also appeared on stage in Toronto productions and received a Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination. He won Best Actor at the International Christian Film Festival for his performance in the 2019 film Root of the Problem.
