Biography
Sergio Solli (19 November 1944 – 3 February 2023) was an Italian actor and stage director from Naples.
Originally a hairdresser, he began acting after a successful audition with Eduardo De Filippo in the early 1970s. He performed in many of De Filippo's stage productions and television adaptations, and later directed theatre while working with companies including those of Carlo Giuffrè and Mariano Rigillo.
In cinema Solli had a long career as a character actor in both dramatic and comedic roles. He appeared in films such as Thus Spoke Bellavista (1984), Ciao, Professore! (1992), The Postman (1994) as a peasant, To Rome with Love (2012), Piazza Fontana: The Italian Conspiracy (2012) and the I Can Quit Whenever I Want series (2014–2017).
