Biography
Seth Holt was a British film director, producer and editor. Born in Palestine to British parents, he trained briefly as an actor at RADA before joining Ealing Studios in 1944 as an assistant editor. He progressed to editor, with credits including The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), and later worked as a producer before making his directorial debut with Nowhere to Go (1958).
Holt directed a number of thrillers, notably Taste of Fear (1961) and The Nanny (1965) for Hammer Films, the latter starring Bette Davis. He also directed Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (1971), though he died during production and the film was completed by Michael Carreras. He was the brother-in-law of director Robert Hamer.
