Biography
Seydou Paul Sarr is a Senegalese actor. He was born on 6 October 2004 and grew up in Thiès, Senegal. His mother performed in theatre and as a singer; he has three sisters and lost his father during childhood.
Sarr made his film debut in 2023 as the lead in Matteo Garrone’s Io Capitano, playing a character of the same name. He won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for best emerging actor at the 80th Venice International Film Festival for the performance. He also contributed to the film’s soundtrack alongside co-star Moustapha Fall.
In 2024 he appeared as himself in the docufilm Seydou – Il sogno non ha colore. He has since been cast in the television series Tutta scena (2025).
