Biography
Shahrzad Davani, also credited as Sheri Davani, is an American director and producer. Born on 20 March 1979 in Fairfax, Virginia, she began her career working as a first assistant director and producer on independent films, including A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014), The Bad Batch (2017), The Little Hours (2017) and Zola (2021).
Davani has directed episodes of several television series, notably Abbott Elementary (2021–), for which she also served as first assistant director, Not Dead Yet (2023), Killing It (2022–2023), Home Economics (2022) and Everything's Trash (2022). She directed the short film All of You (2021). She received a Peabody Award in 2023 as part of the Abbott Elementary team.
