Biography
Shakira Barrera is an American actress. She was born on 7 March 1990 in Englewood, New Jersey, to Nicaraguan-American parents. She attended Bergen County Academies and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from Rutgers University.
Barrera joined the cast of the Netflix series GLOW in its second season, playing Yolanda "Junkchain" Rivas from 2018 to 2019. She has appeared in guest roles on series including Grey's Anatomy, Shameless, Lethal Weapon, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ahsoka and Hacks. Her film credits include Superfast! (2015). The GLOW cast received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.
