Biography
Shani Wallis is an English actress and singer. Born on 14 April 1933 in Tottenham, London, she trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art on a scholarship and made her West End debut in 1952 in Call Me Madam at the London Coliseum.
She is best known for playing Nancy in the 1968 film Oliver!. Her other screen credits include A King in New York (1957), voice work as Lady Mouse in The Great Mouse Detective (1986), and television appearances in Columbo (1971) and Charlie's Angels (1976). She has performed in theatre in both the UK and the United States.
Wallis became a naturalised US citizen and has lived there for many years. She is an Honorary Patron of The Music Hall Guild of Great Britain and America.
