Biography
Shari Goodhartz is a television and film writer. She graduated with a B.A. in English and general literature from the State University of New York at Binghamton. After an internship at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and work in corporate communications at Columbia Pictures, she joined the Warner Bros. Comedy Writers Workshop and became the first Writers Guild of America intern on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Goodhartz wrote the story and teleplay for the 1990 episode "The Most Toys" of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) and the stories for the 1991 episode "Night Terrors" and the 1992 episode "Violations". She later wrote for animated series including Gargoyles (1994) and Bonkers (1993), and received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for her work on Raw Toonage (1992). Her feature credits include the novel for DragonHeart: A New Beginning (2000). She has received Writers Guild of America Award nominations for episodes of Young Hercules (1999) and DragonHeart: A New Beginning.
