Biography
Sharon Acker was a Canadian film, stage and television actress. Born in Toronto on 2 April 1935, she began her career in Canadian theatre and television before making her film debut recreating a stage role as Christine Callaghan in the 1957 British comedy Lucky Jim.
Her first American film appearance came in John Boorman’s Point Blank (1967), in which she played Lynne opposite Lee Marvin. She appeared in further films including Don't Let the Angels Fall (1969) and Happy Birthday to Me (1981), but worked predominantly in television. Notable credits include the Star Trek episode “The Mark of Gideon” (1969) as Odona and the role of Della Street in the 1973 series The New Perry Mason.
Acker died in Toronto on 16 March 2023, aged 87.
