Biography
Sharon Warren is an American actress. She is known for playing Aretha Robinson, the mother of Ray Charles, in the 2004 film Ray.
Born in Opelika, Alabama, Warren trained at Auburn University and worked in theatre, including with the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, before her film debut. She also appeared in Glory Road (2006). She received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in Ray and later retired from acting.
