Biography
Shaun Parkes is an English actor known for roles in film, television and theatre. He was born on 9 February 1973 in London. He studied drama at Seltec College from the age of 16 and later trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
Parkes made his breakthrough in the 1999 film Human Traffic as Koop. Subsequent film roles include Izzy Buttons in The Mummy Returns (2001) and Bill Rumer in Notes on a Scandal (2006). On television he has appeared in Doctor Who (2005), Line of Duty (2012) and Lost in Space (2018–2019). He played Frank Crichlow in the 2020 anthology series Small Axe, for which he received a BAFTA nomination for leading actor. His theatre credits include Blue/Orange, Elmina's Kitchen and Titus Andronicus at Shakespeare's Globe. He also starred as the lead in the BBC series Moses Jones.
