Biography
Shawn Ries is an American television writer and producer. He began his career in the mid-2000s as a production assistant and animation production assistant on Family Guy before advancing to writing roles.
Ries joined the writing staff of Family Guy in 2011, serving as staff writer, story editor, executive story editor and co-producer through 2017. He received writing credits on 27 episodes, often in collaboration with Artie Johann, including 'Cool Hand Peter' (2011), 'Turban Cowboy' (2013), 'Chap Stewie' (2014) and '#JOLO' (2015). He later wrote episodes of Allen Gregory (2011), Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television (2019) and the television film How High 2 (2019).
