Biography
Shaye Ogbonna is a writer and producer. He is an alumnus of the American Film Institute, graduating in the class of 2011.
His credits include writing the episode 'Homecoming' of the HBO series The Penguin (2024), on which he also served as co-producer. He co-wrote the feature God's Country (2022) with Julian Higgins and wrote Lowlife (2017). Ogbonna created, wrote and served as showrunner and executive producer on the Peacock limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (2024). He has also written episodes of The Chi (2022).
In 2025 he won a Writers Guild of America Award for his work on The Penguin.
