Biography
Sheila Sim was an English film and theatre actress. Born Sheila Beryl Grant Sim in Liverpool in 1922, she trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and appeared in films from the mid-1940s to the mid-1950s.
Her film credits include A Canterbury Tale (1944), Pandora and the Flying Dutchman (1951) as Janet Fielding, and I'm All Right Jack (1959). On stage, she co-starred with her husband Richard Attenborough in the original London production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap (1952).
Sim retired from acting in the mid-1950s to raise their family. She was married to Attenborough from 1945 until his death in 2014 and died in 2016.
